Ayal Shany is a seasoned international moving and relocation professional with more than 30 years of experience in the global household goods and logistics industry. Throughout his career, he has been actively involved with the International Association of Movers (IAM) and has built longstanding relationships with moving and relocation professionals throughout the United States and around the world.
Ayal currently serves as Co-Owner and Operations leader at Ruby International, a family-owned and woman-owned international moving and relocation company based in the United States. In his role, Ayal is closely involved in the day-to-day operations of the company, overseeing logistics, international agent relationships, and the coordination of complex international relocations.
Over the course of his career, Ayal has developed extensive experience across nearly every aspect of the international moving industry, including household goods relocation, ocean and air freight, origin and destination services, customs procedures, international logistics, and agent partnerships. His hands-on operational knowledge and understanding of the challenges facing both moving companies and their customers have made him a respected and trusted member of the international moving community.
Ayal has always placed significant importance on building strong, long-term relationships within the industry. He believes that successful international relocation depends on communication, accountability, cooperation, and trusted partnerships between agents around the world. These principles have guided his career and continue to influence the way Ruby International conducts business today.
As a longtime member of IAM, Ayal has witnessed the evolution of the international moving industry over several decades. His experience provides him with a broad perspective on the opportunities and challenges facing IAM members, from independent and family-owned moving companies to larger global organizations. He understands the importance of ensuring that IAM continues to provide meaningful resources, representation, networking opportunities, and support for companies of all sizes.
Ayal is committed to contributing his industry knowledge, leadership experience, and practical operational perspective to the IAM community. As a candidate for the IAM Executive Committee, he looks forward to the opportunity to represent fellow members, strengthen collaboration throughout the association, and help support initiatives that advance IAM and the international moving industry as a whole.
