Introduction
The moving industry relies heavily on partnerships with service providers who uphold professional standards. This trust-based system works efficiently in most cases, allowing transactions to proceed without formal contracts. However, exceptions do occur, creating significant friction, inefficiencies, and financial risk. The ITMC Program was established to address these issues.
Assuring Adherence to a Professional Code of Conduct
The IAMTrusted Moving Company (ITMC) designation is awarded to IAM members who have made substantial investments in promoting a culture of competence, expertise, and integrity within their staff. By earning ITMC credentials, these companies demonstrate their commitment to reducing inefficiencies and risks and display their trustworthiness to industry peers.

Trust
All qualifications, including those outlined in the ITMC Agreement, are documented and validated through the IAMX Validation system.
Minimized Financial Risk
The IIRS encourages prompt financial settlements and provides clear timelines for resolving disputes. Reporting issues early through the IIRS allows IAM to assist member companies more effectively.
Professional Conduct Assurance
ITMCs adhere to a written code of conduct specified in the ITMC Agreement. In the event of ethics issues, they agree to follow IIRS procedures. Additionally, through IAM Learning training, ITMC staff are committed to upholding industry standards.
Dynamic ITMC Status Display
Unlike static quality assurance programs, the ITMC designation is updated in real time based on a company’s adherence to the ITMC Agreement.
Objective Status Ranking
The ITMC designation is grounded in measurable criteria, not subjective user reviews, ensuring a reliable depiction of the company's current compliance with ITMC standards.
The ITMC Agreement
The IAMTrusted Moving Company Agreement
The ITMC Agreement sets the conditions that IAM members must meet to earn and maintain their ITMC designation. Built on the foundation of IAM’s Code of Ethics, this agreement promotes truth and fairness in advertising, sales, and customer service, thereby enhancing customer trust in the moving industry. The IAMX-Validation system ensures that ITMC requirements are thoroughly documented, reviewed, and validated. Furthermore, ITMCs agree to be bound by the IAM Issue Resolution System (IIRS) processes.
The IAM Issue Resolution System
The IAM Issue Resolution System (IIRS)
Although most transactions between IAM members are successful, issues can arise in four (4) main categories:
1. Financial
Disputes over financial transactions or unpaid charges.
2. Operational
Problems related to the execution of services.
3. Ethics
Violations of the professional code of conduct.
4. IAM Trademark Infringement
Unauthorized use of IAM’s name, logos, or trademarks.
Any IAM member can report issues through the automated IIRS system on IAM Mobility Exchange. While all members adhere to the IAM Code of Ethics, ITMCs voluntarily agree to stricter IIRS guidelines, including adhering to strict timelines for issue acknowledgment and resolution. If a resolution cannot be reached, ITMCs agree to accept the decision from IAM’s established resolution processes.
ITMCs display their IAMTrusted Moving Company logo as a badge of good standing on their IAMX profile. Failure to comply with IIRS procedures can lead to the removal of their ITMC status and logo, which will only be reinstated upon resolution. Additional penalties may apply based on the frequency and severity of violations. Full details can be found in the IIRS Guidelines.
