Boris Populoh brings more than 30 years of international moving, relocation, transportation, and logistics experience, with particular expertise in insurance and risk management within the global household goods industry.

Throughout his career, Boris has held senior executive and leadership positions in both commercial organizations and international trade associations. This combination has provided him with a unique perspective on the challenges facing movers, relocation companies, freight forwarders, and other participants in the global mobility supply chain.

His experience spans international household goods insurance and claims services, transportation risk management, regulatory and compliance matters, industry standards, quality programs, security initiatives, and the development of insurance solutions specifically designed for the moving and relocation industry. He has worked extensively with movers, relocation management companies, insurers, underwriters, corporate clients, and industry organizations throughout the United States and internationally.

Boris has also been actively involved in addressing broader issues affecting the industry, including changing regulatory requirements, operational standards, emerging risks, and the development of programs designed to strengthen professionalism and service quality across the global moving community.

Having lived and worked in both the United States and Europe, Boris brings a distinctly international perspective to his work and a strong appreciation for the importance of collaboration among companies, associations, and industry partners across borders.

He holds a B.A. in International Diplomacy and Economics from American University and an M.A. in Transportation Policy, Operations and Logistics Management from George Mason University.

Having personally relocated more than twenty times, Boris also understands the moving experience from the customer’s perspective, an experience that continues to shape his commitment to the industry and the people it serves.
