Carlos Ferri
Founder and CEO
Shipeezi Pty Ltd
Australia
Carlos Ferri is the Founder and CEO of Moveezi, an operating platform built for moving, relocation and storage companies, and Shipeezi, a supply chain visibility platform. Based in Sydney, Australia, Carlos has worked in and around the international moving industry since 2006, bringing a builder’s mindset and a systems first approach to an industry under increasing pressure to modernise without losing the operational discipline that makes it work.
Within IAM, Carlos currently serves as the Oceania Representative on the Core Members Management Board. In that role he contributed to the CMMB’s Global Pulse: 2025 and 2026 Predictions white paper, part of a broader initiative in which each regional representative developed a survey tailored to the pressures facing their own market, with findings reviewed collectively by the CMMB and IAM staff to identify both regional distinctions and emerging global patterns.
Carlos was selected through a competitive proposal as this year’s Annual Meeting session winner and will lead a 90-minute Core Members working session titled Beyond the Hype: Building the AI-Augmented Moving Company. The session builds on the CMMB’s recent AI focused programming, exploring what real AI adoption looks like inside moving companies, why so many transformation efforts stall, and how leaders can pressure test their own strategies before rolling them out.
Beyond his IAM and Moveezi work, Carlos serves as President of Maple Bear Australia, a network of bilingual early childhood and primary schools, and sits on the Board of the Royal Automobile Club of Australia, one of the country’s oldest membership organisations. Both roles have given him governance experience well beyond the moving industry, working with boards, committees and members whose priorities do not always align neatly, which is exactly the kind of negotiation skill a global trade association Board requires. He also owns Papai Distilling, a craft spirits producer based in Tasmania, proof that not everything he builds has to run on software.
As a candidate for Non-U.S. Core Members Representative, Carlos is focused on ensuring IAM’s Board decisions reflect the operational realities of members outside the United States, particularly as the industry navigates AI adoption, shifting regulation, and evolving customer expectations across very different markets. He believes the Association’s global strength depends on its leadership genuinely representing that geographic diversity, not just acknowledging it, and sees his CMMB work and this year’s AI session as a direct extension of that commitment at Board level.
