South Africa
With over twenty-seven years of professional experience working across the African continent, I bring a deep understanding of the region’s unique markets, including its regulatory environments and operational challenges. This extensive experience has given me not only technical and industry expertise, but also the cultural fluency and relationship networks that I believe are essential to representing Africa’s interests at a global level. Over the course of my career, I have developed a genuine appreciation for the diversity that exists across the continent, and I understand that effective representation requires listening closely to the needs of individual markets while still advancing a unified African voice within the wider global industry.
I was honoured in 2024 to receive the IAM Excellence in Leadership Award, a recognition I am deeply grateful for, as it reflects my commitment to strong governance, collaborative leadership, and uniting teams to achieve shared goals.
I currently serve on the Core Member Management Board for the Africa Region, where I have helped shape regional strategy, worked to strengthen member engagement, and worked to bring Africa’s voice to the forefront of the conversation.
I also serve on the Global Moving Foundation Board. In addition, I oversee the Sub-Committee responsible for awarding the Wohlstetter Academic Award, reflecting my ongoing commitment to industry advancement and philanthropic initiatives, and my belief that investing in education is fundamental to the long-term strength of our industry.
Beyond these board positions, I have volunteered across various IAM Volunteer Groups. This hands-on involvement has given me valuable exposure to the diverse workings of the organisation and its strategic goals, which include strengthening membership and governance, positioning itself as the industry’s leading global association, building trust through ethical standards and verification programmes, driving innovation, and expanding global engagement and business intelligence for its members.
I firmly believe that Africa, and non-United States members more broadly, deserve strong, informed, and dedicated representation at the highest level. Having built my career navigating the complexities of doing business across diverse African markets, I know I can bring valuable experience and perspective.
As IAM continues to evolve, I believe our greatest strength lies in ensuring that every region has a meaningful voice in shaping the future of our industry. I am committed to helping build an Association that is globally representative, collaborative, and responsive to the needs of all its members.
I therefore respectfully ask that you consider my nomination.
