Christian Braunschweig is the Managing Director of Heinrich Koch Internationale Umzugs- und Archivlogistik GmbH in Osnabrück, Germany. With more than two decades of experience in the international moving and relocation industry, he has built a career that combines hands-on operational expertise with international executive leadership.
Christian entered the moving industry in 2002 through his family-owned moving company, where he completed his apprenticeship and learned the business from the ground up. During his early years, he worked directly in operations, conducting residential and commercial relocations throughout Germany and Europe. This practical experience provided him with a deep understanding of customer service, logistics, workforce management, and the day-to-day challenges faced by moving professionals.
Over time, he progressed into management and leadership roles within the family business, eventually overseeing operations and business development. During this period, he was involved in coordinating international relocations across numerous European countries for private, corporate, and governmental clients.
In 2015, Christian moved to the United Kingdom to broaden his professional and personal horizons. Following a short period with General Motors, he joined Europe Remove Ltd. in London as Senior International Sales Director, where he focused on international sales growth, client development, and expanding the company’s presence in the global mobility market.
In 2017, he joined AGS Worldwide Movers and began a period of international leadership development. After serving as Trainee General Manager in Berlin, he was appointed General Manager of AGS Poland in Warsaw. There, he was responsible for business growth, financial performance, customer satisfaction, and team development. Following the successful management of the Polish operation, he was promoted to Managing Director of AGS Hungary in Budapest, leading the organization for more than two years. In this role, he worked closely with regional and global leadership teams, focusing on profitability, operational excellence, employee development, and strategic growth initiatives.
In 2023, Christian returned to his hometown of Osnabrück and joined Heinrich Koch Internationale Umzugs- und Archivlogistik GmbH as Head of Sales. Since July 2025, he has served as Managing Director, leading the company through a period of growth, modernization, and international expansion. His focus is on strengthening global partnerships, improving operational efficiency, developing talent, and ensuring sustainable long-term success.
Having worked at every level of the industry, from mover to managing director, Christian brings a broad perspective and a genuine passion for the international moving profession. He strongly believes in collaboration, innovation, and the value of professional associations in supporting industry standards and future development. Through his involvement in the global moving community, he remains committed to contributing to the continued success and advancement of the international relocation industry.
