US Domestic Asset-Based Mover Group

IAM has established the U.S. Domestic Asset-Based Mover Group (DAB). Often, when people think of IAM, they think it's an association for movers involved in international moving. While that's certainly one facet, IAM is an international association for all movers, and we can help you grow your business even if you currently do no international business.
A DAB is a US Domestic Asset-Based Mover — an independent mover or van line agent with trucks, crews, and warehouses.
Supporting DAB movers is an ecosystem of partners, including technology providers, van lines, insurance professionals, and industry specialists who help keep the industry running efficiently. We call those partners DAB Allies, and like DAB Movers, you are an important part of that network, and your engagement matters.

Get involved
Two ways to get involved
Become a DAB or DAB Ally and grow your engagement with the group over time. IAM membership comes first — everything else builds on it.
IAM membership
Not yet a member of IAM? Joining gains you access to the network and much more.
- IAMX: get found by agents and van lines actively looking for qualified partners — over 300,000 directory searches happen every year.
- Receivable Protection Program: stop chasing unpaid invoices. IAM has recovered over $6.5 million for members since 2015.
- Annual Meeting & Expo: meet the people who send you freight.
- Advocacy: have a seat at the table when regulations are written.
DAB and DAB Ally status
Already an IAM member with a validated IAMX listing? You may qualify for DAB or DAB Ally status, which adds:
- DAB logo designation in IAMX, on the annual meeting attendee list, and in your own marketing materials.
- DAB Hour webcast speaker opportunities, September to April.
- Exclusive sponsorship visibility at IAM events.
- DAB Management Board involvement on an ad hoc basis, at the chair's selection.
- DAB task force participation on the issues that affect your business.

Any IAM member with a validated listing on IAMX can request to join the DAB Ally group. The DAB Membership task force reviews the application and makes a recommendation to IAM for inclusion. Request DAB Ally membership by emailing membership@iamovers.org.
