IAM has received an update from MI Global Venezuela following yesterday evening’s devastating earthquake sequence near Caracas, the largest seismic event to strike Venezuela in over a century.

MI Global Venezuela has confirmed that all staff and facilities are safe. As a precautionary measure, the team has moved to remote operations while the full extent of damage to infrastructure across the country is assessed. Members should anticipate some delays in response times, though MI Global confirms that all operations are continuing to be managed.

A state of emergency has been declared by Venezuelan authorities. Significant aftershock activity is expected to continue in the coming days and weeks, and the situation on the ground remains fluid.

IAM will share any further updates as the situation develops. Members with urgent operational matters in Venezuela are encouraged to reach out to their partner in the country directly.
