Stephan Jr. Geurts
(Government Logistics NV)
The IAM Executive Committee Chair

The IAM Executive Committee (EXCOM) convened in San Diego, California, for a two-day strategic working session focused on fiduciary oversight and positioning the Association for sustained relevance across global markets. In his first meeting as Chair, Stephan Jr. Geurts, led a tightly structured working agenda anchored in board-level dialogue with IAM’s senior leadership team.

The following committee updates reflect the Executive Committee’s active operating role with IAM’s Strategic Plan, where Advocacy, Technology, Annual Meeting & Expo, IAMTrusted and protection of the network through the Receivable Protection Program are being developed as integrated systems to support IAM’s 2,100 member companies across 170 countries and territories.

Learn more about the Executive Committee’s work discussed during the meeting:

Premier Members-at-Large

Adam Hall
(The Pasha Group)
Vice-Chair Carrier Relations, Ocean Services & Tariffs

Adam and his committee are providing real-time oversight of global ocean conditions, tracking carrier service changes, port congestion, security risks, and inland logistics to ensure IAM’s leadership remains grounded in operational reality. The work of the Carrier Relations reporting equips the Executive Committee with current market intelligence on capacity, routing, and infrastructure pressures directly affecting household goods performance and cost risk.

Lakelan Fennell
(The Suddath Companies)
Tenders & Tariffs

The Tenders & Tariffs committee supports IAM’s efforts to engage more effectively with Defense Personal Property Program (DP3) leaders and provide industry insights on the impacts of rule changes in the program. The committee’s work reinforces IAM’s role as a constructive industry partner in government household goods programs. Lakelan’s work as committee chair strengthens IAM’s ability to influence tender structures, regulatory interpretation, and operational standards impacting member companies.

Charles Flowers
(Coleman Worldwide Moving)
Budget & Finance Committee

Charles steps into this role as the Chair of the Budget & Finance committee, which exercises direct financial stewardship over the Association, leading approval of the 2026 budget, setting cash-reserve targets to protect organizational stability, and overseeing annual meeting performance assumptions. He is also guiding early CFO succession planning to ensure continuity, transfer of institutional knowledge, and disciplined financial governance.

Erin O’Connor
(Dice Forwarding Inc.)
Member-at-Large Technology & Communications

The IAM Technology & Communications Committee is actively helping members prepare for the Department of Defense’s new Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) requirements, which will impact movers and subcontractors doing government business. A dedicated IAM CMMC Working Group has launched a new online Resource Center, issued “getting started” guidance, fielded member questions, and submitted industry concerns directly to the Joint Task Force ahead of the March 15 deadline. In parallel, the committee has expanded member education through IAM Tech Talks and continued testing IAM’s AI research tools to make complex government and compliance information easier for members to access, understand, and use.

Sue Staszewski
(National Van Lines)
Member-at-Large Risk Management & Claims Committee

The Claims Committee is actively representing member interests with the Joint Task Force, challenging new Claims and Liability Business Rules and Tender of Service provisions that create unbounded financial exposure and operational risk for movers. Under Sue’s leadership, the work of the committee has been actively pursuing clarification on the new Claims and Liability Business Rules as well as the changes to Inconvenience Claims in the Tender of Service. In addition, the committee submitted new Fire and Smoke language to US Transportation Command and to the Military Claims Offices early in 2025 because we felt strongly that remediation for fire and smoke is quite different than for mold.

Tim Wicker
(Republic Moving and Storage Company)
US Domestic Asset-Based Mover Group (DAB)

The IAM U.S. Domestic Asset-Based Movers (DAB) group has reset its focus to deliver more practical, real-world value for domestic household goods movers. Since October, DAB leadership has aligned priorities, refreshed participation, and begun building new ways to share operator-driven best practices and trusted insight with members. In 2026, DAB will roll out interactive best-practice panels and an enhanced Annual Meeting session designed to help members navigate today’s U.S. market with clarity and confidence.

In parallel, the CMMB is strengthening the member experience by integrating regional representatives into the new-member onboarding experience, guiding engagement with IAM programs and the Annual Meeting, and launching IAM’s first region-specific webinar for Africa.
