IAM is saddened to report the passing of Frederick “Fred” Daw Paxton II, President and Chief Executive Officer of Paxton Van Lines and Paxton International.
A highly respected leader in the moving and relocation industry, Fred continued a proud five-generation family legacy while helping guide the company with vision, dedication, and professionalism. He joined The Paxton Companies in 1966 and established the international operations department in 1980. In 1993, he helped develop Corporate Relocation Services, providing a full range of relocation management services to the company’s corporate clients. He also served as a member of the Board of Directors of Atlas World Group, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues throughout the industry for his leadership, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to excellence.
In his obituary, the family said, “Those who knew Fred will remember him as a man of strong character, generous spirit, and quiet determination. He believed in the value of hard work, treating people with respect, and always doing the right thing. His legacy lives on through his family, the business he helped lead, and the many lives he touched throughout his career and community.”
