IAMX Validated member The Pasha Group has appointed logistics veteran Ray Fitzgerald as president and COO, effective October 1, 2026, while owner George Pasha IV moves into a new chairman and CEO role.

The Pasha Group, a third-generation family-owned logistics and transportation company based in San Rafael, California, announced the leadership change on September 1, 2026, citing the company’s continued growth and expansion. Fitzgerald brings more than 30 years of experience leading multibillion-dollar logistics, shipping, and transportation enterprises. He joins Pasha from Crowley, where he most recently served as executive advisor to the CEO and previously as COO. He also spent two decades in senior leadership roles at Wallenius Wilhelmsen, including president and COO of the company and CEO of American Roll-on Roll-off Carriers, where he worked with the U.S. Department of Defense on national security logistics.

Fitzgerald will oversee day-to-day operations and long-term priorities across Pasha’s operating divisions and subsidiaries, reporting directly to Pasha IV, who will focus on long-term strategy, growth, and key business relationships. Pasha IV said the new position gives the company the leadership depth needed to support its growth while preserving the Pasha family legacy. Fitzgerald said he’s long admired how the company has stayed true to its family-owned values since 1942 and is energized to help shape its future.

The change comes as Pasha continues to expand, including new LNG-powered vessels, the nearly complete Kapalama Container Terminal in Honolulu, a growing Pacific Northwest footprint, and continued investment in alternative energy asset transport and bunkering.
