IAMTrusted member SIT Spain is moving its fleet onto a single tracking and security platform from Securitas, giving the mover real-time oversight of household goods, fine art, and high-value technology shipments, backed by incident response in more than 20 European countries.
According to a Securitas case study, the company previously relied on several systems and providers, which made it hard to get a complete view of operations across its specialized fleets. The new setup combines GPS tracking; monitoring of incidents, route deviations, and operating times; unauthorized access detection; and added protection for vehicles carrying the most sensitive cargo. Alarms are handled by the Securitas Operations Center, and a real-time alarm roaming service lets Securitas coordinate local response in more than 20 European countries through a single point of contact.
“We chose Securitas to make a real technological leap,” said José Luis Tabuenca Rivero, SIT Spain’s deputy CEO. He said the system keeps the full fleet located and monitored in real time, strengthening security while helping optimize routes and environmental efficiency. Jesús Martínez, SIT Spain’s head of transport operations, added that the company now knows where every vehicle is at all times and can act quickly when something goes wrong. Integration of the full fleet is still being completed, after which SIT expects to have a live dashboard of location, routes, incidents, and performance indicators.
IAM Member Impact: For members handling high-value or irreplaceable goods across borders, SIT Spain’s approach highlights the potential benefit of consolidating tracking and security under one provider with cross-border response capability.
