Moving companies in the United Kingdom and European Union are likely seeing more moving activity to Spain as foreign property buyers accounted for over 10% of home sales in the country during the last quarter of 2025.

The Olive Press reported figures compiled by the Association of Registrars which showed 178,270 national home sales in Spain, up 3.31% year-on-year, with foreign nationals accounting for 13.52% of the total. Although the number of United Kingdom nationals buying property in Spain fell during the year, the British still led the overseas market, followed by buyers from the Netherlands, France, and Germany. The figures also showed significant falls for home purchases from Polish and Russian nationals.

The province seeing the most activity from foreign home buyers was Alicante, with 42.91% of non-Spanish property deals in the final quarter, along with Malaga. The two provinces combined accounted for over 35% of home purchases by non-Spanish citizens.
